Microblading in Largo, FL
When you’ve tried every pencil, powder, pigment, gel, and stencil at Sephora and your brows are still sparse, Consider microblading—a more permanent solution to thin brows.
Welcome to Dr. K’s Med Spa, your destination for beautifully Microbladed eyebrows! Here at Dr. K’s Med Spa we love creating custom, natural looking brows to fit you.
Microblading is a form of tattoo artistry by using a manual technique instead of a machine. The artist deposits pigments of ink into the skin by making impressions with a sterile, handheld mircroblade tool. The impressions mimic individual hairs and gives the appearance of fuller eyebrows. By using this skilled technique, we can achieve an eyebrow that is perfectly shaped, has more volume, and fill in any sparse areas you may have or reshape your natural eyebrow.
How long does microblading last?
This technique deposits pigment into the upper layer of the skin, the epidermis. Therefore it does not last as long as a traditional tattoo would as tattoos are deposited in a deeper layer of the skin. Depositing pigment into the epidermis allows the artist to create crisp, hair-like strokes. After your initial service and touch up, you can expect the results to last approximately 1-3 years. The variation in time is determined by the individual’s health, lifestyle, sun exposure and skin type. Because this is a semi-permanent procedure a yearly touchup is recommended to maintain the appearance.
How long does microblading take?
The initial microblading appointment lasts approximately two hours. This allows the artist ample time to create a beautifully, customized eyebrow. This includes the consultation, allotted time to apply the anesthetic and for the anesthetic to take effect, shaping and contouring of your eyebrows, the procedure, and review of the aftercare instructions.
Does it hurt?
A topical anesthetic is used before performing the procedure. During the procedure, a liquid anesthetic is utilized and placed over the open skin to minimize any discomfort. We at Dr. K’s, strive to make this experience as comfortable as possible. Individual experiences vary, however, as Dr. K would say, “it is aesthetically acceptable.”
Eyelash & Eyebrow Tinting in Largo, FL
Your eyes are gorgeous, and your lashes too. But imagine what professional eyelash tinting and eyebrow tinting will do for the depth and color of your eyes and the definition of your face. And if you simply can’t stay out of the water, imagine not needing mascara.
What is the eyelash tinting process?
Lash tinting is similar to getting your hair dyed. A gentle plant-based dye is carefully applied to the eyelashes with a small disposable brush similar to the shape of a mascara wand. Within 10~15 minutes the lashes are darkened and the dye is removed with soft cotton and water.
Who can benefit from eyelash and eyebrow tinting?
Do any of these situations sound familiar?
- You do lots of sport (especially swimming)
- You’re sensitive to make-up
- You find the daily make-up ritual too time consuming
- You’ve got very fine eyebrows – an eye brow tint will help
- You simply want to enhance your looks
- You don’t like the ‘panda eyes’ that can result with mascara
- You’re a contact-lens wearer who’s tired of the hassle of applying mascara
How long will it last?
Lash tints can last from 2 to 6 weeks. Eyelashes naturally fall out according to the growth cycle of lashes, so duration of your tint will depend in part on which part of the growth cycle your lashes are in at the time of tinting.
How frequently should lashes be tinted?
To maintain the darkest fullest look, lash tinting should be repeated every 4 weeks.
Latisse in Largo, FL
There’s been a growing interest in this product ever since it was introduced. And it’s no wonder. LATISSE® is the first FDA-approved prescription treatment for inadequate or not enough eyelashes, growing them longer, fuller and darker.
Discover the LATISSE® difference.
LATISSE® solution is a growth treatment for hypotrichosis (inadequate or not enough eyelashes). In fact, it’s the first FDA-approved treatment clinically proven to grow lashes. And it’s the first lash growth product of its kind available by prescription. So you’ll need to talk to your doctor to see if it’s right for you.
LATISSE® grows lashes longer, fuller and darker.
LATISSE® solution is a once-nightly treatment you apply topically to the base of your upper eyelashes, as instructed by your doctor. Then, gradually, the results come in. You may start to see more length in as little as 4 weeks and you should achieve full growth in 16 weeks. It’s not an illusion of growth. It’s real lash growth.
How LATISSE® works.
LATISSE® makes lash growth possible because of its active ingredient: bimatoprost. Although the precise mechanism of action is unknown, LATISSE® is believed to affect the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in two ways: first, it increases the length of this phase, and second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase.
